Fallout Continues from Kelli Ward’s Insults of Young Voters

Kelli Ward’s campaign continues to take on water after a YouTube video showed her insulting young Republican activists who support Senator McCain.

In the clip, Ward derisively refers to as “McCain kids” while claiming “they have no idea.” The backlash was immediate, as College Republicans, Teen Republicans and other young activists hopped on facebook to denounce her comments.

Instead of simply apologizing for her attitude towards young Arizona Republicans, the Ward campaign began melting down. Yesterday afternoon, Ward’s husband, Michael, took to facebook to bully and demean at least one young voter…his condescending tone to an 18-year old activist is stunning.

Later, Kelli Ward headed to Tuscon for a coffee with University of Arizona College Republicans. As you can tell from the image below, the number of “college” age Ward supporters is lacking. We will assume it is because of her insulting attacks.

Finally, four young Republican leaders have written a letter directly to Senator Ward. The letter, obtained by Politics Arizona, once again calls on Senator Ward to apologize for her attacks on young Arizona Republicans.

We look forward to printing Kelli Ward’s response when it becomes available.
