John McCain continues to crisscross the state meeting with Arizona leaders about issues facing their communities. The Senator was in Mesa this week working on business development, helping our veterans, and making sure that Arizona’s third largest city is well represented in Washington.
Mesa Mayor John Giles said, “It was an honor to have Senator McCain in Mesa. His work ethic and energy are amazing. We were able to share with him many of the great things going on in Mesa’s downtown area, and to continue our collaboration on federal issues that impact our veterans and residents. The Senator is always welcome in Mesa. We know that when he is in Washington, he is fighting to represent us.”
Senator McCain met with the Mesa Chamber of Commerce and was given a briefing of their top priorities. He was also part of a round table of local business leaders and entrepreneurs who shared a collaboration with Senator McCain about Federal policy and job creation. After the Chamber event, the Senator met with Veterans at Mesa Community College. The Senator learned of Mesa initiatives to provide housing and other services for Veterans. Those in attendance were also happy to know that Senator McCain is leading the fight to give veterans more healthcare choices and options.
Senator Bob Worsley said of McCain, He has a broad grasp of issues and a real appreciation for Mesa’s residents, history, and dedication to excellence. His leadership on the Resolution Copper mine will dramatically benefit jobs and economic growth in the East Valley. He was excited about the things we have going on here in Mesa. We are grateful for the Senator’s leadership in Washington and look forward to a continued collaboration with the Senator and his team.”
