McCain taps Ducey, Brewer vets for re-election campaign
McCain continues to rely on the long-time counsel of Rick Davis, Carla Eudy, Charlie Black and Mark Salter, but this year he will reach out to a younger group of politicos.
McCain now looks to Ryan O’Daniel, who was a senior adviser on Ducey’s campaign and policy adviser at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck; Stephen Shadegg, son of former U.S. Rep. John Shadegg and top aide to late U.S. Sen. Barry Goldwater; Lorna Romero, Brewer’s director of legislative affairs and Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s director of government relations; and Blaze Baggs, advanced staff member/field representative for Ducey’s campaign.
McCain said in a written statement released to The Republic:
For the next fourteen months, our team will build a grassroots campaign united around my message and record of building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Arizona and America.
